Finding a good foundation primer is an important part of your beauty routine. Primers serve the exact purpose their name implies. They function as a base, giving your foundation something to stick to, allowing you to have a more polished, even, flawless finish, while also giving your makeup more staying power. In this video, I give you some insight into some of the primers I've tested out in my search for my favorites. Some from the high-end brands, others more affordable, drugstore varieties (yes, you can find a decent affordable foundation primer).
I'm personally a fan of Smashbox's Photo Finish Primer, a cult classic ($36), but most recently, I've fallen head over heels for Victoria's Secret VS Pro Airbrush FX Face Primer SPF 20 ($14). As for the affordable brands, I'm definitely a strong proponent for e.l.f'.'s Mineral Face Primer ($6), the absolute closest and most affordable dupe to Smashbox and Sephora's brand name primer I've found so far.
