I'm back from Italy, and thank goodness, I'm back to regular nail polish. I guess you can surmise I wasn't totally bowled over by gel polish. Well, that's a topic for another post. Today, we talk happy talk about nail polish.
For my foray back into regular laquer land, I chose Zoya Pinta. She's a pretty little thing, isn't she? I'm starting my first day as a consultant for Habitat for Humanity (a pro-bono opportunity through my job) and I wanted to make a good impression. I wanted a cute manicure color that would be office appropriate without being too boring. I wasn't quite sure how free wheeling the group would be and figured I shouldn't show up on my first day sporting green polish, or worse a chipped gel manicure.
I like Pinta a lot. She reminds me a bit of a purple-hued verson of You Don't Know Jacques from OPI. Granted, Jacques is much more of a brown-based taupe. Pinta, is more of a purple taupe. I think she's just subdued enough for the office without being so common she puts you to sleep.
You're looking a two coats in the photo above that went on smoothly, opaquely, and resulted in a lovely creme finish.
