New Product Releases at The Makeup Show Orlando

Last month, I told you a bit about The Makeup Show Orlando (read post here), which is happening  Sept. 28-29 at The Peabody Hotel. In that post, I shared information on featured speakers, event contests, and a few of the brands that will be in attendance. But let's face it, if you're reading this blog, you're probably most interested in products. Now that fall's here and the holiday season's around the corner (read: holiday collections), most of our favorite makeup brands are releasing some swoon-worthy new items. If you're like me, you've been reading reviews and ogling all the new product photos out there in the blogosphere.

Well, I'm here to tell you there will be quite a few new product releases going on at The Makeup Show Orlando this year that you don't want to miss (as if a room full of makeup brands and products weren't enough to get you all excited).

Here are just a few of my personal top picks for the new product releases that'll be available at the show:

Nars recently released their Eye Paint line for Fall 2013, a highly-pigmented gel formula that can be used as eyeshadow and eyeliner. It comes in 10 gorgeous, long-lasting (18-hour wear!) shades. The weightless gel formulation is meant to glide on smoothly and dry down quickly for all day wear.

OFRA cosmetics, which I originally discovered at last year's show, will launch their new semi-permanent waterproof eyebrow gel exclusively at The Makeup Show Orlando. I'm especially excited about this release as I love a beautifully shaped eyebrow. And I'm interested to test out OFRA's claim that the helps you give a precise shape that still looks natural. The semi-permanent waterproof eyebrow gel will be great for anyone, especially those looking for sweat proof brows (hello Florida heat and humidity!), brides who want smudge proof makeup, and professionals who often need to work with waterproof products.

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics will feature it's new fall collection, which includes six new lip tars and six new nail lacquers. I love the lip tars and lacquers I've acquired thus far, and suspect I'll be just as happy with this new line. You can see my previous OCC posts here

Mehron will launch three new products at the show this year, but I'm most interested in the SKIN Prep PRO - a high-performance primer that acts as a moisture barrier between your skin and makeup to improve wearability even under the most strenuous conditions like heat, bright lights, and sweat.

They're also introducing their Glosstone PRO lipgloss line, which boasts ultra-shine and color without making your lips sticky. Sign me up for that! The glosses are enriched with aloe vera and vitamin E and come in six shades: 3 matte, 2 shiny, and a clear gloss (pictured below)

Now, these are the products I'm most interested for my own personal makeup needs. But there are more things available this year including:

Skincare! I don't remember seeing any skincare lines last year. But this year that's changed. Skincare giant Dermaologica is going to be in attendance, which is quite exciting. Check out some of their favorite items while you're there, including their Clear Start line, which  features products to help teenagers and young adults battle mild to moderate acne.

Mehron is also debuting their B.L.A.M.E. makeup pens, which are black light activated cream makeup pens that can be used on the face and hair (available in six vibrant colors).

You'll also have access to the exclusive brush set from Crown Brush, developed by makeup artist Ve Neill.

Pre-sale tickets to The Makeup Show Orlando are available online through Sept. 26. A one-day pass runs $35 and a two-day pass $50. Discounted prices are available for cosmetology students. For more information about the show, vendors, and tickets click here

Now, how many of you are going to The Makeup Show and what are you excited to see?
